What is available
Here is a selection of singable Gospel Acclamation and Alleluia settings in downloadable PDF and playable MP3 formats, for the Lectionary used by Catholic congregations in the US, Philippines and places that use similar lectionaries. They are all arranged alphabetically by the first few words of the verse to help you identity the one you are looking for.
For Alleluias we give the name of the Alleluia settings for ease of reference - you can read more about how I named them. If you would like to know more about setting Alleluias and Acclamations, you can read my blogs on setting the word Alleluia and setting the verse.
The Roman numerals I,II,III,IV,V, VI, VII, VIII after each Lent Gospel Acclamation title indicate which of the various refrains is used. You can read more about using the Acclamations.
You are welcome to use your own combinations of Acclamation verses with alleluias or Lent Gospel Acclamations. The Mayfield, Stuart and Petropavlovsk alleluias are "canon alleluias", i.e. they are written so that the congregation or choir can continue to sing the alleluia softly under the verse as the cantor sings it. By varying the instrumentation, you can also find other uses for them. We also have settings for UK and Ireland congregations and for Australia and New Zealand and Canadian congregations.
