Singable Music for Mass, Australia and New Zealand Lectionary

by Kate Keefe

Let the people praise you, O God; let all the people praise you

Here is a quick listing of singable settings of the Responsorial Psalms, Alleluias and Lent Gospel Acclamations from the Lectionary for Australian and New Zealand Catholic congregations.

These settings faithfully follow the texts used in the Lectionary, so you can be sure of having the right one. If you need something different, or are simply interested, we also have settings for the UK and Ireland, for the United States and Philippines and for Canadian Catholic congregations. It is all available for free download in pdf format for use in your church, and you can hear an electronic approximation as well. You can also hear some examples sung by our friends at Churches in different countries, showing how they bring the music alive.

Psalms, Responses and Acclamations for Sundays and Feast Days Year B (2020-21)

Psalms, Responses and Acclamations for Sundays and Feast Days Year C (2021-22)

Weekday Psalms and Responses, Years I and II

The weekday psalms run on a 2-year cycle. 2022 was Year II, 2021 was Year I, 2023 is Year II again. Advent, Christmastide, Lent and Eastertide do not change from year to year. When there is a Saint's Day, this takes precedence, and you will find the psalm on the Sunday and Feast Day pages above. If you need one that isn't there, please get in touch.

You can find more material for Australia and New Zealand celebrations in the Diocese of Sale's regular Living Liturgy and at Church Music.
